PaintBid is a painting estimate calculator built for the person who has to stand behind the number: the painting contractor.

Most paint calculators on the web are written for homeowners wondering "how many gallons do I need?" Painters need a different answer: what will this job cost me, and what should I quote so the business actually makes money? PaintBid is built around that split. You enter rooms or exterior walls, coverage, paint price, labor and prep condition; the tool works out gallons, material cost and labor cost; then your markup produces the client price. The two numbers never mix — and the printable quote your customer sees never includes your costs.

It runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, no uploads and no per-seat pricing games: your draft estimates live in your browser's storage on your own device. A one-time Pro upgrade (branded PDFs, saved customers, follow-up reminders) is planned for painters who want more paperwork power, at $39 once — because contractor tools have already proven that a fair one-time price beats another monthly subscription.

PaintBid also publishes two homeowner tools — a gallons paint calculator and an exterior painting cost calculator — so the people requesting quotes can sanity-check the same math from their side.
